(West Islip, NY) Among the more than 20 members of the armed forces hospitalized at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center on Veterans’ Day was 94-year-old veteran Joseph Stenglein. He served with the United States Army in WWII in 1948 as a map designer. After his tour of duty he returned to his childhood home in Lindenhurst where he has lived for the past 90 years.
