(West Islip, NY) “Operation Football” collected more than 80 footballs donated by staff at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center to send to soldiers in the 1st and 2nd brigades of the 10th Mountain Division of the US Army in Kandaher, Afghanistan. Past President NYS AMVETS Post 18 Frank DeMarco took care of shipping footballs to the troops.
