(Syosset, NY) Bounce! Trampoline Sports, will be celebrating the Grand Opening of its second facility in the New York region when it opens its doors in Syosset this September. Bounce! Trampoline Sports will offer Long Islanders an unprecedented opportunity to safely play, have fun and get fit on spacious courts of interconnected trampolines.
In conjunction with its Grand Opening Weekend, on Saturday September 7th, Bounce! will host a fundraiser for the Nassau County Firefighter Burn Center Fund—and on Sunday, September 8th, a second fundraiser, this one to benefit the Nassau County Detectives’ Charitable Foundation. The fundraisers run from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. each day.

The Burn Center, which supports the burn treatment facility at Nassau University Medical Center, is widely recognized as one of the best staffed and most technologically sophisticated facilities in the United States and on average treats 200 burn victims per year as inpatients, and 1000 as outpatients. Many of those treated are children. The Detectives’ Charitable Foundation provides assistance and financial aid to detectives and their families who have suffered catastrophic events such as debilitating or terminal illness, severe permanent disabilities or even the death of a member’s child.
The Bounce! grand opening will offer patrons a chance to participate in this new and exciting recreational experience with all proceeds benefiting that day’s designated organization. “We are beyond thrilled to bring Bounce! to Long Island and equally excited to be able to support both of these very worthy causes with what we hope will be considerable donations,” declared Danny Fried, co-creator of Bounce! Those wishing to participate can find more information on the Bounce! website www.bounceonit.com.
According to Fried and his partners, the Caplan family of Old Westbury, and Michael Gross of upstate Woodstock, cleanliness and safety are the top considerations at Bounce! “Our pledge is to keep the facility immaculate, safe and scrupulously maintained so that every day it looks like it just opened for business,” says General Manager Nick Caplan. He adds that NASA research shows that supervised jumping on trampolines is probably
the best physical exercise ever devised, proven to tone muscles, burn fat and reduce stress.
Bounce! will offer fitness classes for all ages and levels, open jump time, trampoline dodgeball, slam dunk basketball, foam pit jumping and both individual and group trampoline training classes taught by qualified instructors. At the Rockland facility, a “Have Fun and Get Fit” program for overweight and/or physically inactive youngsters that registered 25 participants for its first session has been enormously successful, motivating the kids to exercise and establish overall healthier eating and activity habits. Explains Caplan, “we developed an 8-week program that incorporates structured exercise, nutritional counseling and group play and competition. The parents and kids both love the program. The moms say that it’s so much fun the kids don’t think of it as exercise!”
The unique complex has private party rooms for birthdays and corporate team building, a snack bar, a Wi-fi lounge with several large HDTVs and closed circuit monitoring of the athletic courts. There is also a separate Bounce! Jr. Zone where kids ages 6 and under can bounce on their own trampolines, jump into separate foam pits or play on a giant inflatable obstacles courses. Bounce! has been built from start to finish to meet all ASTM International Standards of safety.
