(Long Island, NY) The Heat and Frost Insulators Local 12 endorsed Anna Throne-Holst for Congress in NY-01. Throne-Holst is the only candidate in this race who has worked with and championed the needs and rights of labor.
Local 12 is part of an international union of over 25,000 members and is one of the largest and most influential unions of trained Heat and Frost Insulators.
In a letter to Anna Throne-Holst, Matty Arachic, Business Manager of Local 12 wrote, “We have engaged in meaningful conversations with you and while you proved to be a good listener you have demonstrated that you are actually better as an accomplished problem solver. We all agree the construction industry not only creates middle class career opportunities in the building trades for New York residents, but results in significant economic benefits for the state and the local communities in which our members live and work.”
He continued by stating “The energy and leadership skills you display everyday are key factors in why our nation continues to remain as the benchmark against which all other nations are measured. We realize that the actions and results that you have accomplished to date are true indications that you are undoubtedly the right choice for becoming a member of Congress.”
Anna Throne-Holst said, “I’m honored to have earned the support of the Heat and Frost Insulators Local 12. Lee Zeldin has ignored the middle class and instead focused only on his extreme right wing agenda. Suffolk County needs a representative who is focused on growing incomes and creating jobs for the middle class. In Congress I will focus on protecting and growing existing jobs and career opportunities with investment in job and training opportunities.
Anna Throne-Holst is the former Southampton Town Supervisor and a working mother of four children – Nicholas, Karess, Max and Sebastian. She is running for the Democratic nomination to take on Republican Congressman Lee Zeldin.
