(Long Island, NY) A Hempstead Town Councilman, a Nassau County Legislator, an attorney for Nassau University Medical Center, a Nassau Planning Commissioner and a local photographer/businessman will demonstrate Wednesday night that they do more than make serious policy and tough decisions: they also make Rock and R&B music.
Hempstead Town Councilman Ed Ambrosino (R-North Valley Stream), Nassau County Legislator Vincent Muscarella, Nassau University Medical Center Attorney John Ciotti , Nassau Deputy Planning and Economic Development Commissioner Jon Crist, along with local photographer and business owner Steve Orlando, and Patrick Owens, an aide to the Hempstead Town Board, will perform as a band. “The Dogs of War,” Wednesday, September 9, 2015, 7:30 PM at the Brokerage Comedy Club in Bellmore to benefit the American Legion of Elmont. Tickets will cost $15.00, and all net profits will be donated to the Long Island veterans group. The group will be playing Rock and R&B tunes.
The group plays benefits only, and the part-time musicians have honed their crafts over the years. Crist is lead vocalist and a guitarist; Ciotti is a drummer; Muscarella is on guitar and Orlando is lead guitar; Ambrosino plays keyboard and guitar and Owens is a bass guitarist.
Some of their favorites are songs from Marshall Tucker, the Beatles and Clarence Clearwater.
