(Long Island, NY) The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Hempstead woman for Burglary that occurred in Hempstead on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 1:20 am.
According to detectives, a 50 year old male victim reported to the Hempstead Police that an unknown person entered into Frontier Collision located at 78 Bedell Street through an unlocked garage entry door and removed a signed 1969 New York Jets Helmet kept in a glass showcase. An investigation was conducted and it was revealed that the defendant Michelle Brayman, 54, did enter the premise and removed property not belonging to her.

On May 30, 2015 Hempstead Police Officers recognized the defendant Michelle Brayman standing at the NICE Bus Terminal located at 68 West Columbia Street and placed her into police custody without incident. There were no injuries reported. The collectable signed 1969 Jets Helmut has not yet been recovered.
The defendant is charged with Burglary 3rd degree. She will be arraigned on Saturday, October 31, 2015 in First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
