NYLAG Mobile Van to be Stationed at Boys and Girls Club, Friday May 10, 10 am-3 pm
(Medford, NY) Assemblyman Edward Hennessey is partnering with New York Legal Assistance Group (NYLAG) to bring free civil legal services into the Bellport/East Patchogue area. The NYLAG mobile help center is a partnership with the New York State Courts’ Access to Justice Program whose goal is to provide free civil legal services to New Yorkers in need. Assistance will be provided in the following consumer and public benefit areas: Foreclosure, Consumer Credit, Debt Management, Supplemental Security Income, Social Security Disability Insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid.
“The civil legal assistance that will be available will be provided by attorneys and qualified professionals. They are coming to assist people who need help and cannot easily access it any other way. I thank the Boys and Girls Club of Bellport for providing the use of their parking lot for the van and for being so generous as to offer free child care to give parents and guardians the chance to meet with attorneys and discuss their issues.
