Proposed budget a good starting point for Suffolk families and businesses
(Long Island, NY) The following statement and response to the 2014-15 Budget was released today by NYS Assembly 3rd District, Edward J. Hennessey:
“In his 2014-15 executive budget proposal Governor Cuomo presented his his vision for the future of New York State and outlined an agenda to help us reach that future. He made it clear that he is committed to helping Suffolk families by providing tax relief to homeowners and tax credits to businesses.
“The Governor also proposed an increase in education aid in his presentation. I look forward to reviewing the runs to make sure our local schools receive their fair share.
“I stand committed to working with the Governor and my colleagues in the legislature to pass a responsible budget that holds the line on taxes and meets the needs of hardworking families.”
