(Yaphank, NY) Assemblyman Edward Hennessey was on hand to honor and support our veterans and the efforts of Building Homes for Heroes, a non-profit, non-partisan organization founded in 2006. The group comes to the aid of severely wounded and disabled veterans returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan by building homes for those in dire need.

The motorcycle fundraising run organized by the motorcycle group ABATE and hosted by Red River In owner Rick Tripi and manager Ray Rancourt and fundraising co-chairman Jack Eddington proceeded despite the rain. The event took place at the Red Rive In located on Main Street in Yaphank where participants were treated to live music, a free buffet and raffles.
