A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Xipoleas is well versed in a wide range of cosmetic and reconstructive practices. However the Hicksville native has a particular interest in the local incidence of breast cancer. “As a Long Island resident, breast cancer is naturally a subject close to my heart” he began.
“Given the practice’s incredible history, I believe that it will be a fitting environment for me to further explore my interest in breast reconstruction. I grew up here. I know the people of my community, and I understand their concerns. I want to be there to help.”
Before joining the practice in September, Dr. Xipoleas completed a plastic surgery residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, as well as an aesthetic surgery fellowship at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. In the past he also provided general treatment for lacerations, burns and skin cancer on a voluntary basis at a small clinic outside of Sparta, Greece.
Currently Dr. Xipoleas is affiliated with Winthrop University Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center, South Nassau Communities Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center and the North Shore LIJ Health Care System.
