(Long Island, N.Y.) Political writer Anita Finlay — author of the controversial new book about Hillary Clinton entitled “Dirty Words on Clean Skin” (eight weeks at #1 on Amazon’s “Women in Politics” Bestseller list) — is discussing the late breaking story, in which Hillary Clinton is accepting blame for the security failures in Benghazi, Libya.
While in Peru, Hillary granted her first interview regarding the attack that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens, stating, “I take responsibility”. She shared that she is ultimately responsible for those working at the State Department’s 275 diplomatic posts throughout the world, and that Obama and Biden “wouldn’t be knowledgeable about specific decisions that are made by security professionals.”
Hillary’s statements have left many wondering if she is dutifully deflecting criticism away from President Obama as he prepares for Tuesday night’s debate against Mitt Romney.
“Dirty Words on Clean Skin” is an account of what happened to Hillary Clinton during the Democratic primary of 2008 and serves as a case study of the bias that remains in American politics and the media manipulation that affects us all.
Ask Anita:
- Why Hillary chose to take responsibility and if she believes Hillary’s statements were a calculated step in preparation for Obama’s debate
- Since the American people are typically forgiving of those who say “the buck stops here”, does this help or hurt Hillary’s chances in 2016?
- How Hillary’s behavior compares with that of Biden, Axelrod and other W.H. operatives who appear to have thrown her under the bus?
- How many are speculating that these developments could muddy the Clintons’ complex relationship with Obama
- Why much of the media is downplaying the importance of the Benghazi attacks of 9/11/2012.
- The twitter-verse is buzzing that Obama is “hiding behind Hillary’s skirts.” Does Hillary’s admission help or hurt Obama with the crucial women’s vote.
