(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police have arrested a homeless man for robbing multiple convenience stores during the past 10 days.
Following an investigation by Third Squad detectives, Courtland Bonalde was charged with robbing the following stores:
- 7-Eleven, located at 260 Motor Parkway in Brentwood, on September 27 at 11:52 p.m.
- 7-Eleven, located at 500 Islip Ave. in Islip, on September 28 at 3:25 a.m.
- 7-Eleven, located at 193 Caleb’s Path in Central Islip on October 4 at 2:51 a.m.

Bonalde also attempted to rob the Central Islip location on October 2 at 3:45 p.m. but fled with no proceeds.
Bonalde, 35, was charged with three counts of Robbery 3rd Degree and one count of Attempted Robbery 3rd Degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 6.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
