(Long Island, NY) Second Squad detectives report the details of an arrest for a burglary that occurred in Bayville on Saturday, 09/19/15 at 11:30 P.M.
According to detectives, Dakota Cantwell, 18, (unknown address) threw a brick into the front plate glass window of Marty’s Party of Bayville located at 70 Bayville Ave. and once inside, removed multiple cartons of cigarettes from the store.

On Sunday, 09/20/15 at approximately 10:00 A.M., Second Precinct police officers located the defendant on Bayville Ave. where he was placed under arrest. The proceeds were recovered.
Cantwell is being charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Monday, 09/21/15 in First District Court, Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
