(Long Island, NY) The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of an Island Park man for a Burglary that occurred in Island Park at 12:55am on Wednesday, July 08, 2015.
According to Detectives, defendant Alec R. Aitchison, 19, did forcefully enter through a rear door of the Jordan Lobster Farm located at 1 Petit Place. While inside the defendant did remove an undetermined amount of US currency from the cash register without permission to do so.

Officers on patrol observed the defendant in a locked fence area and initiated an investigation. The investigation resulted in the arrest of the defendant and the recovery of the proceeds.
Defendant Alec R. Aitchison is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and will be arraigned in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead on July 8, 2015.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
