Jewish National Fund (JNF) is proud to announce Jason Freeman as the newest Campaign Executive for Greater New York.
Freeman has been with JNF for the last seven months, serving as Israel Advocacy and Education Area Director of New York and New Jersey, working with schools and congregations to implement JNF’s Zionist education programs for students in grades K -12 and representing JNF at conferences around the country.
“I am so excited to transfer the skills I gained working in JNF’s education department to now focus on young philanthropy in the New York area,” said Freeman. “I was raised with Zionistic values throughout my life and look forward to continuing to share these during my daily work and successes with JNF. I have been to Israel three times and each time was more memorable and eye-opening than the previous time. By far, my most memorable moment in Israel was becoming a Bar Mitzvah on top of Masada. This past August I went to Israel through Shorashim on a Birthright trip. Being able to see the country through the perspective of my peers was something very special.”
Before joining the JNF family, Freeman worked as a Program Director for BBYO in Washington D.C., leading BBYO’s largest region in Jewish programming and membership for teens across the Greater Washington D.C. community.
Freeman attended the Pennsylvania State University where he was a member of the baseball team and board member of the Lion Scouts which conducted tours and informational sessions on behalf of the university. In addition, he has been very involved with his synagogue, Temple Beth Rishon, in Wyckoff, New Jersey.
Freeman will be leading JNF’s Young Professional Alternative Spring Break to Israel. To learn more about the mission, or JNF, he can be reached at jfreeman@jnf.org or 212.879.9305 x506.
JEWISH NATIONAL FUND (JNF) began in 1901 as a dream and vision to reestablish a homeland in Israel for Jewish people everywhere. Jews the world over collected coins in iconic JNF Blue Boxes, purchasing land and planting trees until ultimately, their dream of a Jewish homeland was a reality. JNF gives all generations of Jews a unique voice in building a prosperous future for the land of Israel and its people.
JNF embodies both heart and action; our work is varied in scope but singular in benefit. We strive to bring an enhanced quality of life to all of Israel’s residents, and translate these advancements to the world beyond. JNF is greening the desert with millions of trees, building thousands of parks, creating new communities and cities for generations of Israelis to call home, bolstering Israel’s water supply, helping develop innovative arid-agriculture techniques, and educating both young and old about the founding and importance of Israel and Zionism.
JNF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization and United Nations NGO, which continuously earns top ratings from charity overseers.
