Volunteers collected, sorted and removed the backs of an estimated 7,000 cards, preparing the covers for a second life as new cards.

A significant number of new cards were collected in addition to the used ones, so KIC partnered with the American Legion for a second year to assist with a letter writing campaign for soldiers.
