(Long Island, NY) The Second Squad reports the arrest of Levittown man for Assault that occurred on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at 9:55 a.m. in Hicksville.
According to detectives, Patrick Hayden, 23, was driving his 2001 Ford Taurus southbound on N. Broadway (Route 107) when he stopped in front of the Robert Chevrolet Dealership, 236 S. Broadway. After parking his vehicle he entered a 2013 Dodge Pickup Truck which was idling in front of the dealership.

Hayden continued southbound where he then stopped on S. Broadway. He exited the truck and began to punch, kick and knocked a 74 year old male victim to the ground. The victim was transported to an area hospital with multiple contusions and lacerations.
Hayden re-entered the truck continuing south to Bloomingdale Road where he entered Ultimate Gym and turned in the wallet of the owner of the truck. The gym contacted the owner which led police to the area where they located Hayden walking on Jerusalem Avenue near Constellation Road. Hayden was placed under arrest and transported to a local hospital for evaluation. The vehicle was located nearby on Albert Road.
Hayden is charged with Assault 2nd degree, Grand Larceny 2nd degree, and Grand Larceny 4th degree. He will be arraigned as soon as medically practical.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
