A celebration of togetherness, triumph and recovery
(Long Island, NY) The Long Island Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence will hold its 26th Annual Peter Sweisgood Breakfast on Sunday, November 8, 2015, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the IBEW Local 25 in Hauppauge. This year’s featured Keynote speaker will be Suffolk County Executive, Steve Bellone.
LICADD will honor Community Champion, Bruce Both, President UFCW 1500. Bruce W. Both is President of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 1500 (UFCW). Local1500 represents over 22,000 working men and women in the New York Counties of Nassau, Suffolk,Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, the City of New York and New Jersey. The members of Local 1500 workprimarily in the supermarket industry for companies such as, King Kullen, Stop & Shop, Pathmark, ShopRite, Gristedes, D’Agostinos, Key Foods and Fairway.
The Fisher of Men Award, that honors Father Peter Sweisgoods’s commitment to recovery will go to Anthony Rizzo, from Seafield Center. He is a Credentialed Alcohol andSubstance Abuse Counselor as well as a Licensed Social Worker. Anthony has been working for SeafieldCenter for the last 13 years. He currently serves as the Provider Relations Representative in Long Islandas well as the Clinical Director for the Domestic Violence Program. In 2013, Anthony is the ExecutiveDirector and Founder of an organization called F.I.S.T – Families in Support of Treatment.
