Lindsay has the backing of environmentalists, law enforcement, state and local elected officials, teachers, newspapers, and virtually every labor group
(Sayville, NY) As Election Day draws near, the endorsements keep rolling in for Bill Lindsay III, son of the late Presiding Officer Bill Lindsay. Lindsay has the backing of environmentalists, law enforcement, state and local elected officials, teachers, newspapers, and virtually every labor group.
Newsday, which is Lindsay’s most recent endorsement, referred to his more concrete plans for fixing the county’s finances, his plan to repurpose brownfields in order to put them back on the tax rolls, and his ability to be an independent voice and see a good idea for a good idea regardless of who it comes from as the reason to support the 8th legislative district candidate.
Lindsay is a small businessman who has served in the local chamber of commerce and wants to continue the work his father, the late Bill Lindsay, began, to fight for Suffolk County families. Bill will use his private sector experience to make government more efficient and protect Suffolk taxpayers.
“It’s truly an honor to have earned the support of so many people and groups that believe in my vision for our community.” Lindsay said of his over 30 endorsements, which include the likes of the Sierra Club, Long Island Federation of Labor, NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo, the Nassau Suffolk Building Trades, the New York League of Conservation Voters and the Suffolk County Police Conference, which includes the Suffolk County Police Benevolence Association, the Suffolk County Detective Investigators P.B.A., the Suffolk County Superior Officers Association, and the Suffolk County Detective Association. “I am humbled by their support and will absolutely continue to fight for local businesses while also helping to grow our economy in a way that attracts good paying jobs and promotes environment sustainability so that all people can afford to live and work here in Suffolk County.”
