(Hauppauge, NY) Dedicated to educating the workforce of tomorrow, Festo recently invited local students for a presentation and tour of their Mobile Mechatronics Lab (MML).
Over 30 participants from the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Club of Hauppauge, and Boy Scout Troops 111 and 343 had the unique opportunity to interact with over 20 dynamic displays, ranging from electromechanical actuators to medical and lab automation applications.

Exploring the most advanced automation components available, these young men and women learned firsthand from Festo experts about the importance of pneumatic and electromechanical systems.
“We pride ourselves on offering more than just innovative products, our commitment to education and training is at the forefront of what we do,” said Frank Latino, Head of Product Valve Terminals at Festo. “We have supported programs such as FIRST since its inception on Long Island over ten years ago, and are dedicated to STEM education to help develop and mentor the engineers of tomorrow.”
Over 80ft long, the MML is home to an array of displays, an LED screen for presentations and videos and can accommodate up to 40 seats for a classroom setup. The MML has travelled coast to coast to educate companies and schools about energy efficient automation technology and services and the latest advancements that can improve equipment and operational performance.
