(Long Island, NY) The First Squad reports the arrest of David Kunen, 38, of Long Beach for an Attempted Robbery that occurred on July 29, 2013 at 10:20 pm in Baldwin.
According to detectives, the 48 year old male victim, while employed as a taxi driver, picked up Kunen as a fare on Woodcleft Avenue in Freeport and drove him to Grand Avenue near Brooklyn Avenue, Baldwin.

Kunen then demanded the victim’s money and after refusing the subjects order, he continued to drive to the Baldwin train station. While the taxi was still moving, Kunen jumped out and fled southbound on Milburn Avenue.
The defendant was arrested on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 8:00 am in Atlantic Beach. He is being charged with Robbery 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on Friday, October 16, 2015 at First District Court, Hempstead.

The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
