LNF was founded in 2002 in memory of Massapequa resident Luke Neuhedel, diagnosed with hepatoblastoma, a rare liver cancer, at age 9 months. Luke battled his cancer for over 3 years, and LNF was founded by his family and friends in April 2002 to help children with cancer and their families. The Luke Neuhedel Foundation raises awareness of pediatric cancer and provide grants to children with cancer and their families throughout the NY area. All proceeds from this event provide assistance to children receiving cancer treatment.
