Discusses dealing with memory loss and awareness for Alzheimer’s disease
(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) and the Alzheimer’s Association of Long Island recently held a free educational meeting: “The Basics: Memory Loss, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.” During the meeting, information was provided about detection, causes and risk factors, stages of the disease, treatment, and more on both dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci speaks during an educational meeting on Alzheimer’s Disease.
“Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, and Alzheimer’s disease accounts for 50 to 80 percent of dementia cases,” said Lupinacci. “While there is no cure for the disease, raising awareness can help anyone who is suffering or is close to someone suffering from the disease be better prepared. That’s why I work with the Alzheimer’s Association to help raise awareness and provide people with information about the disease.”
