Assemblyman Lupinacci addresses Long Island’s future as he prepares for the upcoming legislative session
(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I–Huntington Station) introduced Richard Kauffman, Chairman of Energy and Finance and Chairman of NYSERDA, who deliver a regional State of the State message – much of which echoed the address given by Gov. Cuomo on Wednesday.

Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci introduces Richard Kauffman who delivered the regional State of the State address at Farmingdale College.
“With our families and friends continuing to face some of the highest tax burdens in the nation, I was particularly happy to hear Chairman Kauffman reiterate Gov. Cuomo’s ideas to provide property tax relief for our homeowners. While I am anxious to see details of his proposal to improve New York’s business climate, I agree with him that steps must be taken to reinvigorate Long Island’s economy,” said Lupinacci. “Yesterday’s address did come up short in two areas that I believe are particularly critical. These include providing quality mental health services for our children and addressing the shortcomings that have plagued our education system since the roll out of the Common Core Curriculum. However, I remain anxious to get to work to deliver results to our residents, and I know the governor and my colleagues in the Senate share this desire.”
