A statement from Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington)
(Long Island, NY) “Tonight, we provided much needed relief for hardworking taxpayers living on Long Island. My colleagues and I extended the property tax cap, which has saved hardworking New Yorkers over $7 billion since it was created. This essential pro-taxpayer proposal will continue the property tax cap for four more years, and will accompany $1.3 billion in property tax rebates for homeowners. Putting money back into taxpayers’ pockets is always a top priority; I’m glad we were able to secure this goal as this year’s session came to an end.”
