Discuss issues facing children with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges
(Huntington, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently joined Assemblyman Ed Ra (19th Assembly District) at Long Island Families Together’s (LIFT) Annual Legislative Breakfast.
The breakfast provides local legislators with an opportunity to hear about the ongoing projects LIFT is undertaking to help raise awareness about the needs of families raising children with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges. The breakfast also presents an opportunity to hear some of the program’s success stories over the last year.

“Many people in our communities don’t understand the impact that raising a child with emotional, behavioral or mental health challenges can have on a family,” said Lupinacci. “Fortunately, Susan, Eileen, and everyone at LIFT provide a strong voice for affected children and families, so they receive the support they need and access to information and services that can assist them. Thanks to the hard work of these very dedicated individuals, we are building communities that are more understanding and recognize the importance of caring for children’s mental health issues.”
LIFT is a parent and youth governed organization that provides a strong voice to ensure that children with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges and their families have access to needed information, support and services.
