Service remembers local officer lost in the line of duty
(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) recently joined Assemblyman Al Graf (R,C,I-Holbrook) and local residents to honor fallen police officers as part of the Suffolk County Police Memorial Service. The event was held to coincide with Police Week, an event that educates children about what the police department does by offering open houses at police headquarters.

Assemblyman Al Graf, Sergeant Lou Dini, Sgt-at-Arms, Suffolk County Superior Officers’ Association and Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci honor fallen officers during the Police Memorial Service at the Suffolk County Police Headquarters.
“Suffolk County is blessed with a tremendous group of hard-working police officers who every day keep our lives and the lives of those around us safe,” said Lupinacci. “Unfortunately, this safety comes with a price, and events like this memorial service are a way for us to honor those who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice while preserving our safety. The officers honored here knew this sacrifice was a possibility, but in the face of danger, they never hesitated to fulfill their duty. We thank them and their families for all they’ve done to help keep us safe, and I encourage everyone to take a moment each day and reflect on these truly remarkable individuals.”
