(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R, C, I – South Huntington) recently joined local elected officials in support of the North Shore Land Alliance. The group, which is dedicated to the protection and preservation of the green spaces, farmlands, wetlands, groundwater and historical sites of Long Island’s North Shore, held an Opening Day Ceremony for the Wawapek Farm. During the event, members of the community participated in family activities, including a “birds of prey” presentation and nature walk.

“Long Island is a beautiful place to live and visit, largely, in part, due to our natural resources. The North Shore Land Alliance and the people of Long Island fight every day to preserve these resources for future generations,” said Lupinacci. “Today, we celebrate the opening of another beautiful and historic site, which embraces all aspects of wildlife and outdoors on Long Island.
“As the summer months continue, many in our community will spend more time outdoors. Whether on the beach or on a nature walk, I encourage each member of our communities to take advantage of the tremendous historic sites and outdoor activities Long Island has to offer,” concluded Lupinacci.
