Program works to eradicate illiteracy in our communities
(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) and KPMG recently partnered for the Family for Literacy campaign. The program draws on the depth of talent and commitment of the entire KPMG family and local officials to help eradicate illiteracy in communities. As part of the program, Lupinacci read Peter Rabbit to students at Oakwood Primary Center in Huntington.

“KPMG’s Family for Literacy program demonstrates their superb commitment to youth and education by helping to ensure that all children have the ability to acquire the skills they need to become successful adults,” said Lupinacci. “Reading to children can help develop a passion for learning that will last for years to come. More importantly, by starting to read at a young age, students build confidence and are able to excel in other areas of education and life beyond the classroom. I had a wonderful time reading to the students and I hope they enjoyed the day as much as I did.”
