(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police arrested a man for spray painting swastikas on two properties in Rocky Point on Friday, January 15.
At approximately 9:40 a.m., Seventh Precinct Patrol officers responded to a 911 call of graffiti on a vehicle and a Bobcat utility vehicle on Clio Road. Further investigation revealed the surrounding area had more graffiti including swastikas.

Hate Crimes Unit detectives were notified and began an investigation. After a canvas of the area, detectives arrested Christopher Collins, 18, of Rocky Point at approximately 1:50 p.m.
Collins, spray painted swastikas on a house and a retaining wall on Garden Road in Rocky Point. He also spray painted graffiti on a house on Locust Drive and on street signs on Locust Drive and Clio Road.
Collins was charged with two counts of Aggravated Harassment 1st Degree, and Five counts of Making Graffiti.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
