(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a West Babylon man on Tuesday, August 4.
James Kennedy, 24, was operating a 2008 Ford sedan westbound on Montauk Highway when he lost control of his vehicle near the intersection of Gardiner Drive, crashed into a wooded area and struck a fence at 12:33 a.m. Kennedy was partially ejected from the vehicle.

Kennedy was transported via Bay Shore Brightwaters Rescue Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he is listed in critical condition.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
