(Long Island, NY) The Homicide Squad is investigating a Homicide that occurred on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:54 pm in Hempstead.
According to detectives, a 30 year old male victim, Gerraud Hill, 30, from Malverne, was shot on Chase Street. The victim then entered a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse and drove away from the scene.

The vehicle came to a stop when it struck a residence on Rose Avenue.
No one in the home was injured, but the residence did suffer structural damage. The victim was transported to Mercy Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 11:28 pm by emergency room staff.
