(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a single-vehicle crash that killed a man in Brookhaven on Sunday, July 26.
An unidentified man was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Suburban southbound on Horseblock Road when his vehicle struck a tree on Montauk Highway at approximately 4:30 a.m.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
