(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Tuesday, July 14 at a Deer Park bank after the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to rob a Huntington bank.
A man entered People’s United Bank, located at 182 East Main St. in Huntington, at 11:51 a.m. and made multiple verbal demands for money, however, the teller did not comply and the man fled the bank.

Twenty five minutes later, the man entered TD Bank, located at 2178 Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park, made a verbal demand for money from a teller. The teller complied with the man’s demands and the man fled on foot, southbound on Deer Park Avenue.
The suspect was described as Hispanic, approximately 40 to 45 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a gray goatee. He was wearing a white T-shirt, shorts and a red hat.
