(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police have arrested a Centereach man for robbing a woman while she was pumping gas at a North Amityville gas station on Thursday, November 26.
Billy McMahon displayed a pellet gun and robbed a woman of cash while she was pumping gas at Citgo, located at 655 Broadway, at approximately 8:50 p.m. McMahon fled the scene on foot but was located a short distance away by responding First Precinct patrol officers.

First Squad detectives charged McMahon, 24, with Robbery 1st Degree. He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday, November 27.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
