Honored to Have Been Host and Gratefully Acknowledges Team & Community Efforts Contributing to its Success
(Riverhead, NY) Juan Micieli-Martinez, Martha Clara Vineyards Winemaker and General Manager, acknowledged today that he was very pleased with the success of the BNB Presents AFTEE Nile Rodgers Dance Party held at the Vineyard on August 19th 2013.
Micieli-Martinez further noted that Martha Clara Vineyards was honored to host the event as it has been committed to the AFTEE mission from the organizations inception. AFTEE (All for the East End) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit establishment whose purpose is to help the over 1,000 non-profits on the East End. Their mission aligns with Martha Clara Vineyards own interests and history of providing events and opportunities that give back to the community it inhabits.
The BNB Presents AFTEE Nile Rodgers Dance Party attracted over 4,000 people to the Vineyards for an unforgettable evening of music, dance, entertainment and fundraising. And while Martha Clara Vineyards regularly hosts live musical performances, and other events attracting large crowds of people, this event marked many firsts for the Vineyard and the East End of Long Island, not to mention the North Fork, for many reasons:
- It was a first-year event of its kind for attracting the Global headliners that performed including: Nile Rodgers and Chic, Adam Lambert, Aviici, Chromeo, Mystery Skulls, Russell Peters and Prince Paul.
- It was the first of its kind for the quantity and caliber of people, organizations, businesses and media that contributed to its success. ‘This was a team effort, Miceli-Martinez commented, ‘that has been close to two years in the making.’
- It was the first of its kind for the number of businesses that came on board as sponsors, vendors and supporters. Food trucks lined the General Admission fields, while other businesses served up their fare at tables in the VIP tents.
- It was the first of its kind in attracting the diversity of people, generations and income levels it did from all walks of life, from Manhattan to Montauk at varying ticket levels with a program that was universally enjoyed by all.
- The accolades and press clippings have been pouring in from all over by everyone who was involved with or attending this event.
- It was an event that was well-reported in all phases of media, print, web and social-networking, on, before, during and after the event, making it a media sensation!
Owned by the Entenmann family, Martha Clara Vineyards is a 200-acre farm located in the historic Northville District of Riverhead. The Vineyard is easily accessible from several main roads leading to it, and is spread out well enough for Micieli-Martinez to have organized the spaces efficiently providing easy access, entry and movement to and from the parking fields, tents and buildings surrounding, making it a great venue for an event of this scope.
The success of the BNB Presents AFTEE Nile Rodgers Dance Party is just one of many recent successes Martha Clara Vineyards is celebrating. A week before the Dance Party, the Vineyard was host to the North Fork Craft Beer Festival. The Vineyard also just participated at the Harvest East End Event on August 24th at which it presented its 2010 Merlot, which recently received the Best Merlot award in New York State.
Micieli-Martinez also shared the news that Martha Clara Vineyards has just received “Sustainable Vineyard” status as a member of Long Island Sustainable Winegrowers.
Other accolades include: The Jefferson Trophy, given to the Vineyards’ 2010 Estate Reserve Riesling by the Atlantic Seaboard Wine Association (for the best wine in New York State); and the Governor’s Cup in 2011 for the Vineyards’ New York State Riesling.
And on September 8th and 9th the Vineyard will be host to its 12th Annual Oktoberfest, an event attracting families and community to enjoy a traditional European-inspired weekend filled with activities, live local music, entertainment and tastings of wine and beer, among other attractions.
Additionally, the Vineyard is host to a regular calendar of live music events featuring local artists. The vineyard also offers three separate indoor areas that may be rented for private or corporate parties throughout the year.
