(Long Island, NY) Homicide Squad detectives report the details of a fatal auto accident involving a pedestrian, which occurred on Sunday, 09/13/15 at 8:00 P.M.
According to detectives, a 2007 Toyota Highlander, operated by a male driver, 22, was traveling westbound on Sunrise Highway/Louden St., when he struck, Elzire Presume, 48, of Hempstead, who was attempting to cross from south to north on Sunrise Highway.

The deceased was pronounced at the scene by Massapequa Fire Department AMT at 8:14 P.M.
Detectives report no apparent criminality. The driver submitted to a Preliminary Breath Test at the scene, with negative results. Brake and safety inspections performed on the vehicle at the scene yielded adequate results.
