(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a man in Mount Sinai on Friday, October 9.
Reinhold Schierwagen, 64, of Miller Place was driving a 2002 Ford F150 eastbound on North Country Road when his vehicle struck a guardrail and shrubs at 6:55 p.m.

Schierwagen was transported via Mount Sinai Fire Department to Stony Brook University Hospital where he later died.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
