(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a motorcyclist in Islip on Sunday, October 11.
Amanda Dominick was operating a 2001 Suzuki 750 northbound on Cedar Avenue when she collided with a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling eastbound on Maple Street at 4 p.m.

Dominick, 26, of Islip, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she was listed in critical condition. The driver of the Jeep, Timothy Kaye, 34, of Lindenhurst, was not injured.
The vehicles were impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about this crash is asked to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
