(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating an incident during which a motorcyclist was injured in a crash and later struck by a driver who fled the scene in Lake Grove.
James Dang was riding his 2004 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on Moriches Road, south of Jericho Turnpike, when he lost control of his bike and was laying in the road approximately 1:35 a.m. The motorcyclist was then struck by a vehicle described as a dark-colored SUV.

The SUV fled the scene. Dang, 31, of Flushing, was transported by the Centereach Fire Department to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment serious injuries.
Fourth Squad detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call 631-854-8452 or call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
