(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Sayville on Sunday, June 14.
Maximilian Velazquez was riding a 2010 Victory motorcycle eastbound on Sunrise Highway when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a guardrail between Johnson Avenue and Lincoln Avenue at approximately 10:15 a.m.

Velazquez, 48, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
The motorcycle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
