(Long Island, NY) The Special Victims Squad reports the arrest of a Connecticut man on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 4:20 p.m. in Hicksville for Sexual Abuse.
According to detectives, Kenton Burt, 62 of Kent, CT. was employed as a music instructor at the Burt Music School located at 382 Newbridge Road where on numerous occasions between approximately January 2012 and March 2015 he sexually abused two female students between the ages of 9 and 14 during private lessons. The defendant was placed under arrest without incident at his place of employment. The investigation is ongoing.

Burt is charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse 1st degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, March 27, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
