(Long Island, NY) The Nassau County Police Fugitive Squad reports the arrest of a Florida man for Attempted Murder on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 1:40 P.M. in Hempstead.
According to detectives, The Fugitive Squad, along with members of US Marshalls Service NYNJ-RFTF located Angel R. Villafranca, of Lake Worth, Florida at a residence on Fulton Avenue.

He was placed under arrest for an open Palm Beach Circuit Court Warrant, from Palm Beach County Florida, for Attempted Murder 1st degree with a Deadly Weapon and Aggravated Battery with a Deadly Weapon.
He was transported to Police Headquarters in Mineola to await extradition.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
