(Long Island, NY) Nassau County Presiding Officer Norma Gonsalves will join Nassau County PBA President James Carver in honoring First Precinct Officers John Herman and Niall Bourke for their dedication and service to the community demonstrated with the arrest of a crack cocaine dealer in Roosevelt in on December, 30, 2014. The officers observed the subject engaging in a hand-to-hand transaction before following and arresting him. In a lawful search, the officers found an unlicensed .380 handgun, as well as crack cocaine, marijuana and PCP in the subject’s possession.
The “Cop of the Month” ceremony will take place at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building located at 1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola, NY on Monday, May 18, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
