(Long Island, NY) The Homicide Squad reports the arrest of a Hempstead man on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at 1:45am in Hempstead.
According to Detectives, the female victim, Neyvin Espinal, 24, of Hempstead was found dead, by a slash to the neck, in her home by her roommate at 4:00pm on Saturday, June 20, 2015. The investigation led to the arrest of defendant Alan R. Espinoza, 26, of Hempstead.

The defendant is charged with one count of Murder 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree. He will be arraigned on Monday, June 22, 2015 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
