(Long Island, NY) The Homicide Squad is investigating a shooting that occurred on Monday, October 05, 2015 at 6:16 p.m. in New Cassel.
According to detectives, Third Precinct Officers responded to a call for a male shot on Prospect Avenue. Upon their arrival they discovered a male victim, 31 years of age suffering from multiple gunshots.

The victim was transported to Nassau University Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 6:42 p.m. by medical personnel.
