(Long Island, NY) The First Squad is investigating a Serious Vehicle Accident involving a pedestrian on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:10 am in Uniondale.
According to detectives, a 19 year old male was driving a 2012 Chevrolet north on Nostrand Avenue made a right turn east on Jerusalem Avenue at which time a 69 year old male pedestrian was struck crossing Jerusalem Avenue from south to north.

The victim suffered severe head trauma and was transported to a local hospital in a Nassau County Police Ambulance for treatment. A brake and safety test was performed on the vehicle at the scene.
There is no apparent criminality. The Investigation is ongoing.
