UPDATE: James Caffrey, 22, was arrested for the below listed crime. He is charged with Robbery 2nd degree and was scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday, February 4 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

(Long Island, NY) The Fifth Squad is investigating a Robbery that occurred on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 9:30 P.M. in Elmont.
According to detectives, a male victim, 18, left work at Keyfood, located at 151 Covert Avenue and was walking westbound on Tulip Avenue, in the vicinity of Landau Avenue he was approached by a male white subject that verbally demanded money and stated “I’ll shoot you, I just got out of jail”.

The victim complied when he saw what appeared to be a handgun in the subject’s waistband. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of US currency the subject fled on foot southbound on Landau Avenue. No injuries were reported.
The subject is described as 5’9”, skinny build, mid 20’s, crooked teeth wearing dark sweatpants and a black jacket.
