(Garden City, NY) The The Nassau County Police Department reports the details of a serious vehicular accident which occurred on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 5:54 P.M. in East Garden City.
According to Third Squad detectives, a male victim, 54, while crossing Commercial Avenue was struck by a dark pickup truck with a cab and a two tone bottom. A male white in his 50’s, average height with a thin build wearing a black jacket and a red hat exited the car and covered the victim with a blanket before fleeing the scene without identifying himself.

The aided suffered a severe head laceration and a fractured pelvis. He was transported to an area hospital where he is listed in serious condition.
