(Long Island, NY) First Squad detectives report the arrest of a Freeport man for multiple burglaries which occurred throughout Nassau County from January through September, 2015.
According to detectives, David Spencer, 37, entered the following locations, by breaking a window, and removed Yamaha keyboards, cash, a mountain bike, assorted jewelry and ceremonial chalices.
- 01/01/15 8:00 P.M. – Memorial Presbyterian Church 189 Babylon Tpke., Roosevelt
- 01/02/15 5:13 A.M. – Perfecting Faith Church 311 N. Main St., Freeport
- 09/23/15 10:00 P.M. – Bethlehem Lutheran Church 1375 Grand Ave., Baldwin
On Wednesday, November 25, 2015, Freeport Police officers, while on patrol, located the defendant and placed him under arrest on Commercial St. in Freeport.

Spencer was also wanted on burglary charges that occurred in Great Neck on 11/01/14.
Spencer is being charged with eighteen counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, Petit Larceny, Criminal Possession Stolen Property 5th Degree and Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. He will be arraigned on Thursday, November 26, 2015 in First District Court, Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
